New Hampshire is the main topic of study this year. Fourth graders use the NH text book featured in the picture to the left, and other activities to support their study of New Hampshire which includes: Zooming into New Hampshire, NH Landforms, Abenaki Native Americans, Early Settlers, Colonial Times, Government, Economics, and Tourism.
Students are provided a variety of learning opportunities that introduce them to the world of science. Cooperative learning, hands-on science lessons and activities are planned to expose students to the scientific method a well as integrating reading, writing, and math skills whenever possible. Topics of study include: Water & The Water Cycle, Weather- patterns and scientific measuring tools, Cloud Types, Ecology- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Energy Transfer- heat, light, electricity, and Ecosystems.
